Probably the red on the spare tire hook is a coating of some sort so metal to metal would not rust or maybe a squeek deadener.

This a great shot of the "GREEN" ookumpucky that was used @ Willow Run to seal the floor plugs, very different from the Camaro's, kind of spongy too.
Tom, very neat car, and I hijacked a couple of you shots https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif

Thanks Mike https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif

The southern Illinois deviation to the word is 'ickempucky'. My Dad used that term to describe some kind of substance they used at the implement dealer where he worked when I was a little punk (like Frankie). It was a cross between a lubricant and adhesive. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif I don't recall what it was used for but my Mother hated the stuff. Stunk to high heaven and was impossible to get out of clothes.

The only real survivor around here is ME....never been re-finished...not even a touchup https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...s/rolleyes.gif

This car lasted 40 years and it will now go another 40 with some fresh paint and detailing. This will be a great grocery getter or platfrom for a V8 clone...I may just drive it this summer to save on gas https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ins/3gears.gif

I pulled out the back seat and found 2 build sheets...the other was dated the same day with the same interior...but different body number and paint color. Who said the factory never made a mistake https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...emlins/eek.gif

first one in seat bottom...incorrect

https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/haha.gif Lots of people, me included. "I want all ALL ORIGINAL, NUMBERS MATCHING, (enter car newb car buyer is obsessed about here), WITH FACTORY BUILD SHEET, cause that is how they ALL are (or they are fake:p)...glad to see you got 2 and one is correct. I have a customer who discovered the entire floor pan of his car covered in discarded build sheets, but not one for HIS car... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/blush.gif ~Patrick
