This 70 Challenger known as "Sinister" and painted Toxic Guacamole was another one of the contenders. It has a Hellcat engine with a T56 transmission. This car was built by the Muscle Rod Shop for R. Purdie.

This 67 GTO painted Blue Ridge Mountain Metallic was 1 of the 5 finalists. It has a 1,000+ horse LS7 with a Whipple supercharger backed by a 4L80E in a Roadster Shop chassis. This car was built by Hot Rods & Custom Stuff for S. Aguilar.

This 68 Charger was the '24 Street Machine of the Year winner. It has it's original 440 engine that was rebuilt by Dick Landy and backed by a 4L80E in a Roadster Shop chassis. This car was built by Classic Car Studio for E. Ganzinotti.

There was a special parking area for the Pro Street cars. They also did several cruises around the grounds on Friday and Saturday. There were probably 50 or so Pro Street cars in attendance. Some of these cars were built back in the 80's and 90's. This 69 Nova SS had a 634ci big block with a Powerglide. S. Seamer had this car at the show.

This Ice Blue Candy Pearl 65 Malibu SS was built by Mark Grimes back in the mid-80's. It made its debut in 86 and was featured in several magazines. The graphics were added for 87 and it was featured in the December 87 issue of Car Craft as it is here. It is powered by a blown 427 backed by a 4 speed. R. Bennett had this car at the show. It still looks pretty good for a car that was completed 38 years ago.

This 69 Camaro RS is powered by Procharged 632 backed by a Lenco. This car was recently featured in the April '24 issue of RPM magazine. P. Johnson had this car at the show. It sounded pretty nasty cruising around.

This 95 Camaro is powered by a blown and injected 540 running on methanol. Dwayne Baugus built this car around 20 years ago and showed it for a while before selling it. He eventually bought it back and repainted it. I think this was the best sounding car there. You could definitely hear it coming before you saw it. It really drew a crowd whenever he fired it up.

This 64 Tempest is powered by a blown 406 Pontiac. This is another car that has been around since the 80's. It was featured in the September '87 issue of Hot Rod. Carey Dalbey owned it back then and still owns it today.

The vehicles competing for the Builder's Choice Award and other major awards all had to park in the specialty parking areas in front of Kasich Hall so that is where most of the high dollar cars were parked on Saturday. There were a few really nice cars scattered throughout the rest of the grounds as well. This 54 Chevy 210 is powered by a 427ci LS3 backed by a T56 6 speed. This was 1 of the 20 Builder's Choice Award winners. Scott Sullivan built this car and had it at the show.

This 55 210 is powered by a 355 small block backed by a Tremec 5 speed. This car was featured in the January '08 issue of Super Chevy. G. Garman had this car at the show.

This car was built by Steve Cook Creations for David Rush. This was one of the Builder's Choice Award winners. It was the Custom Rod of the Year finalist at Del Mar earlier this year.

This 54 Corvette is powered by a 496ci big block backed by a TKX 5 speed. This car was built by Bobby Alloway for Marty Miller. Unfortunately, it was parked under an awning all weekend and I never did get a good picture of it.

This 57 Chevy Cameo is powered by an LT5 backed by a 4L80E. In stock form the LT5 produces 755 horsepower. This truck was built by Jason Graham Hot Rods for Mark Fuqua. It was one of the Builder's Choice Award winners. It was also the Truck of the Year Early Finalist in Nashville TN.

This 58 Chevy truck is known as "El Cameo". It started life as a panel truck and was transformed into a pickup. It is powered by a 348 that was bored and stroked to 443ci. It produces 560 horsepower and is backed by a TR-3550. It sits on an Art Morrison chassis. It was built by Hot Rod Construction for Jim McDaniel. This truck was a Riddler Great 8 Finalist in '23. It was one of the Builder's Choice Award winners.
