Ground Grabber Traction Bar Vintage INFO.
Credit Mike V or Seattle; re. He seen my 68 Camaro with my incorrectly finished Ansens on, He found Vintage set and took very good photos and it clearly displays use of the sticker and plated finish. Cad or Zinc, Brite, with Clear DiChromate Type III post treatment (i.e. Silvery finish) NOT Dichromate Type II (Gold). Very cool is he had a set of instructions also. ASTM-B633 Type III refers to a clear (blue brite) chromate (passivate); Type II refers to a colored (yellow, olive drab)chromate. Jim (*Crud I incorrectly plated my three set based on the Yellow paper of the catalog * DOH!) Edit photo size & post. (JFW) |
Anyone have an idea what brand / application these are?
