Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
Right. That's a late 60's early 70's Jersey license plate in the vintage photo. Nice Buddy Holly glasses, too.

Here is the one I am actually restoring. My car from high school from 22 years ago. After the roof is done then I need to replace the entire rear body structure from the front seats back. I have another donor car for that job.
All braced up for the roof removal http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...aroroofjob.jpg Goin topless. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...roroofjob6.jpg Still findin rot http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...oroofjob12.jpg New roof is in place http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...oroofjob13.jpg |

Blake (left) and Mike Yager of Mid America Motorworks pose with the 1957 Corvette they recently unearthed from a barn just 40 miles from their business’ corporate headquarters in Effingham, Ill. According to Mike Yager, the Corvette had been parked for 35-40 years and, “needless to say, this thing has had possums sleep in it.” http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t.../BarnFind5.jpg http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t...3-am20edit.jpg http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t...rnFind15am.jpg |

Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
Nice to see you stop by again, Ryan.
Did you notice the vinyl top on the fastback Mustang? I saw one in a mag years ago and don't remember the story on them, but I think they're factory. Any Ford guys around? |

Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
This belongs to a friend of mine, he is that kind of guy who just buy vehicles but never sell. He has a pile of trucks, cars, tractors. First one he bought was a '65 Chevelle in 1975, he started working on it and it has been parked in a barn the last 30 years. Will never see daylight again...
This 454 Impala was bought from the US Embassy in Stockholm, he must be the second owner. His father drove it as a daily driver for a few years then it ran as a Taxi for ten years before it ended up where it stands today. It was a popular taxi and many customers calling for a cab asked for it! You'll see the Taxi sign on the roof. Everything on it is original. http://www.protouring.se/files/zeke_1.jpg http://www.protouring.se/files/zeke_2.jpg Jan |
Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
Cool. Jan - you don't have snow on the ground now do you?!!
|
Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
Yeah I saw the Vinyl top on the Fastback, I didn't think anything of it at the time.
And yeah, I don't know anything else about that Trans Am, and won't be anytime soon, as I did not get the job at Hemmings. |
