very cool find the good thing is you dong have to do any paint or body work, just a bunch of mechanical work the current craze is rusty patina, it would fit right in ... |
Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
Here are a couple photos of two vettes we rescued. Both have been sitting since the early 70's. First is a 63 Stingray splitwindow, featuring alot of custom bodywork. The second is a 70 LT-1 wearing a motion paint job.

Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
Looks like a 3-Speed '63 Corvette. It reminds me of the '63 Z06 Corvette my father purchased in Springfield, MO. in 1979 for $1200 while parked in a backyard with a for sale on it. He was even able to drive it home.

71 Torino Cobra in central MN
http://img11.imagehosting.gr/out.php...-cobra.bmp.jpg 1977 Chevy 4x4 This pickup used to drive by my house back in the early 80's as I waited for the school bus. I fell in love with this truck as a youngster and found it 4 years ago. The owner had a stroke and the truck sat for years before a friend of the owners brought it to his house where the pic was taken. One winter a few years ago I approached the person who was storing the truck and asked if it was for sale. He said that it was but another guy had dibs on it before me. After another year I went back and the truck still was there. I was able to work out a deal and now own my favorite truck! Mods added by the owner were: 6inch body lift, 44 inch monster mudders, and the duely box. http://img11.imagehosting.gr/out.php...ruck-1.bmp.jpg http://img11.imagehosting.gr/out.php...ruck-2.bmp.jpg |

Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
I saw this 65 GTO in 1994, 389 Tri-Power, 4 speed, black on black... All the seems were starting to rust, I can imagine what it looks like now. It has Royal Bobcat decals under the hood that look like they have been there for years, one on the fan finger guard and the other on the heater box. Not for sale.

Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
My co-worker was eyeing up a picture of a 69 Mach I on my cube wall when we got talking about her ex husbands old car. This 1969 428 CobraJet Mach I with an auto trans met its demise coming home from a bowling alley in 1970. The fella didnt like the gold side stripe on it so he had it removed.

No its no Criswells. These cars have all been crushed since I took the pictures. For years the owner wouldnt sell any parts untill there where no parts to sell. The sad part is most of the cars weren't that old when they went in there. The one day the owner contracted a guy with a car crusher to crush them all. He drug them out out crushed them on site and stacked them flat to be hauled away. Quite Sad |
