A while back, I scrolling through Facebook Marketplace and found this NOS NAPA distributor. Back in the day, NAPA had it's own line of high performance parts (much like many others such as Sears).
I thought WTF? That would be a cool conversation piece. Fast forward to today. I'm waiting on parts for a couple of cars in the shop, plus waiting on getting a car delivered (more to come on that). Being bored out of my gourd, I thought I'd check out the distributor. This thing is cool! Very adjustable, and high quality. Check out the plating on the points and condenser! I fooled around with the advance curve features. Is that ever clever! I think this may find it's way into the L88 https://i.imgur.com/nG8HAq5h.jpg https://i.imgur.com/W9vyi8Nh.jpg https://i.imgur.com/pRVZ2kDh.jpg https://i.imgur.com/jp1QcxFh.jpg https://i.imgur.com/wYDeVpXh.jpg https://i.imgur.com/HwRwzrth.jpg https://i.imgur.com/2Ae3tLHh.jpg |
Here is the literature enclosed with the distributor....

I sure wish I had a distributor machine like that. Someday maybe.
Once you get the curve set up it's great, but it's a pain when you are leaning over the fender trying to make changes when the weights and springs are in the bottom. |
Back in the day, Echlin made some really high quality ignition parts. Cool piece Tim!
