I ordered the tires on Sunday and they arrived today (Thursday). Just got them mounted on the original honeycombs and back on the car. Photos to follow in a day or two.

Thanks Rusty!

Fingers crossed.

Steve, so how has the new Stangle road cruise been? Is it better parking then Main street? I am looking for something to go to this weekend and Flemington is a possibility. Kev

Pretty good, though the local businesses in the nearly empty outlets were complaining we were taking business away????? It's actually the only time in recent memory that they had full parking lots there with actual humans walking around.

You do have to park nose-in because they the police were trying to keep spectators from getting run over if they were walking around in the road.

I'll be there on Saturday hopefully with the SD. Around 3:30 to get a spot.

They finally started the sidewalk replacement on Main Street... four months late, of course. That was the entire reason they had moved the cruise over to Stangl Road- to allow the construction to begin in May...er September.

Actually it does ride a lot smoother with the new Steelgards versus the 35 year old Eagle ST's. It rides like my Grampa's '71 Lincoln now, instead of my '95 3/4 ton Suburban. Whouda' thunk it?

:-)

Back from the cruise night. KevinW was there with his 69 327 Camaro convertible. Nice night for a cruise.

Steve,

What kind of PITA is it to balance those wheels?

Thanks,
Tim

Sort of. You have to find a tire shop with a balancer that has a lug-centric adapter (five separate spindles to fit in each lug hole) instead of the normal single spindle style. The high end shops usually have them. This is due to the urethane wheel face on the honeycomb that is not exactly aligned with the central hole on the steel core of the rim.
