Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS

Anyone know what this is? Early 60's Valiant with a V8, was that possible? I could see it was a stick on the floor, not sure if it was a 4 spd though. Couldn't get any closer, scary place where it's at.

Dave, that looks like a Valiant with the small block V8. Not up to par on old Mopars, but my best guess is a 65/66ish with a 283(?). Go ahead Mopar guys, beat me up. I'm just guessing.

Looks like a Satellite to me; no RR hood and a base Satellite grille.

The Valiant above is a 66.

The green car above is a 71 Satellite.

Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS

the valiant is a 65 NOT a 66..
66 has larger taillight centers, NO return crest on front fenders, and a diff grille to start with. 66 had a heavier rear bumper and no bullet extensions on quarter panels.
engine in 65 would have been solid cam 273. NO bb til 68 when chassis was widened,
This is a 66 A-Body

383 debuted in 1967, not 1968. The 340 came out in 1968, however.

I apologize for the blurry picture but, here is a 1969 GTO; could even be a Judge, that has been sitting alongside this garage for a few years now.

Note that's a Jensen Interceptor beside the Vega!.
Looks like a 440 era car...probably not but wow if an SP Six-Pack car and WOW if it's an FF AWD!.

Cool 69'ish Lambo Espada GT in the Pantera pic too!.

that's funny!! what year was that?

PeteLeathersac 06-14-2010 08:58 PM

Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS

That pic is probably recent and within the last year or so!.
What's funny is I 'Google Street Viewed' that address and if you go to the right far enough then look back, there's guys working on ladders in front of the building taking the name down...note the 'WRITERS co' part is gone!.

Paste the below address into the Google maps page and check it out...again you need to go along the road to the right then look back to see the workmen etc..

2765 E Merrick Rd, Bellmore, Nassau, New York 11710, United States

No cars across the street...must be in behind?.

I would lean more towards a Mach 1 since it appears to have remnants of the rectangular exhaust cut outs in the valance and that tail light bezel appears to be chrome.

Here's a 72 Javelin SST that a friend of someone at work would like to get rid of, she would like to sell it at a fair price, I'm not sure what something like this is worth. Looks fairly complete, has cragers, original interior, minimal rust(texas/AZ car) fair amount of bondo on the roof for some reason. Original color looks to be blue. No extra charge for the rat nest.

Some more from the Show Low area. Couple of 72 Chargers, both with 383's sitting at a local shop, both are for sale (not mine). Dig the skull seat covers on the baby blue charger.
