Re: Day 2 parts discussion
I think it is labled the way you asked about. When I go down to my other building tommorrow, I'll take a look.

It looks like the one on the right in Hemicolt's pic, so maybe it really is a Hurst? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/ubbt...e=IMG_0828.JPG Hemicolt, does yours say "MASTER CYL." on one end and "12 VOLT D.C." and "WHEEL CYL." on the other end? That's what mine says. Biondo's current offering is probably similar enough to fool 99+% of the general public: http://www.biondoracing.com/images/shopping/LL.jpg http://www.biondoracing.com/RacerEssentials.shtml#LL</div></div> |
Re: Day 2 parts discussion

Re: Day 2 parts discussion
Okay. I looked at the line lock and it does say "master cyl" on one end and "12 volt dc, wheel cyl." on the opposite.
I am suprised at how much it looks like the old one you posted at the top of the page. Looks like that will be the one going on the Vega. <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Originally Posted By: TheNovaMan</div><div class="ubbcode-body"><div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Originally Posted By: Hemicolt</div><div class="ubbcode-body">I think it is labled the way you asked about. Re: Day 2 parts discussion
The pic Hemicolt swiped is a HURST 1969 one.

Genuine Suspension traction bars? Has anyone had any experience with them? I've got a lead on some NOS bars, but have yet to see what they look like.
The only thing I see is form the Reading Eagle newspaper 1977 featured in a Boscov's ad. |
Re: Day 2 parts discussion
Genuine Suspension was a Ca. based company that was owned by Jim Thomas. Jim Thomas had a few funny cars- A Fiat AA/FX, an AMX and a Mustang that I remember...along with a top fueler, too.
My friend Mark sold him a 1966 Nova...which went into storage He died of a heart attack at the track. As far as the traction bars, we had a few pair on different vehicles. They worked fine. Most people ran the yellow traction action ones though. Genuine suspension got a big kick from the van and mini truck craze...it seemed like all of the vans and mini trucks had the chromed traction bars on them |
Re: Day 2 parts discussion
Bruce, Thanks for the info. Do you know if these are GS bars?

Re: Day 2 parts discussion
That looks a lot like them...though most of them I saw were chromed. The mini truck and van guys also had a chrome "sway" bar that connected between the two traction bars
