Notice the SHP timing cover. You didn't happen to pull the engine code and VIN off that block did you? Sad! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...s/confused.gif Rick |
Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
Love that SWC!!!! My favorite color combo would be silver with blue gut - is that a silver one??

Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
Saw this one this weekend. I think it is a 1970? Saw the decal on the rear quarter, but I am not sure if it is a real Superbee or not.

Rick,,,While sad it might be a good thing this car sat. Can you imagine the guy who tried to stop that thing with that master cylinder and the original drum brakes. Whoa, Nellie!!!........Bill S

Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
I agree but I was more referencing the fact that it was sad that someone lets an engine sit and rot like that where it is likely a very rare and sought after block. You are right though, I don't think I would have wanted to try and stop that car. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif

Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
[b] '69 looks like its been sitting a while. No motor, trans, interior or anything forward of the fenders-
but does have a 12 bolt with slapper bars and large rallies all around. Trunk looks like it had a spoiler at one time and has a rear window defrost. - - http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t...27435/d043.jpg - http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t...27435/d044.jpg - |
Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
[b] Early Muscle - Looks like a '58 Lincoln to me. It was sitting outside this office building with a couple
of muscle cars for a year or two. Then the company moved out about a year ago and took all the muscle cars - but this one still sits! - - http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t...27435/d042.jpg - http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t...27435/d041.jpg |

Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
My point exactly. What a waste. It would be neat to know what that came out of and if it was a 427 or 454. Hopefully you can bring it home with you some day.

Marlin
It is Silverblue on Dark Blue. Nice combo, but I am with you on the Silver. I have had 3 SWC's and have one now and they have all been Silver. |
Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
That's a '60. I think there were two versions - Lincoln and Continental. They each had different taillights.

Good eye Bruce,
That is the secret holding pen for wayward muscle cars near hanger 51. I will check on the price of the chevelles if they are for sale. |

It is sitting outside a rundown building that belongs to a guy that always has 4 or 5 cars in the Car Corral at most of the big shows (he has a commercial tractor and trailer he uses)

Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
The guys who think Camaros are junk would salivate over those Citroens. The one with primer color paint is a model SM. Front wheel drive, liquid suspension, and the M is for Maserati, who supplied the motor.
Check this out to see what they're going for. http://www.vintagemotorssarasota.com...on/citreon.htm |

Good eye. 68 SS, orig engine goes with car, 4 speed. Runs now with non orig engine. 325hp I think. Can be had for 15k. Not mine, that is what the guy told me. |
Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
Dana, If it is not too much trouble, I was wondering what the trim tag color code is? Hopefully K-2, tripoli turquoise with a black vinyl top. Thanks https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif

Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
There is a guy here in Oklahoma with approx. 100 first gen Camaros ect. just rotting away. He has three 69 Indy pace cars, a few big block SS/RS cars, a 70 LS6 Chevelle ect.
He said there not for sale and he will let them all rot. |

Citroen made some of the most interesting cars ever! How could you not love this car? http://infostore.org/info/1917046/29-citroen-sm.jpg The car in the posted pic is a CX, whose descendent is this car, which was light-years ahead of anything else when it came out: http://www.channel4.com/4car/media/1...citroen-ds.jpg What's funny, though are the headlights. They are not the European flush ones, and the bumpers are the older style than the ones toward the end of its life cycle: http://www.jvgavila.com/cx22_1.jpg A company in Philly gray-marketed them in the late-1980s, so I see 'em once in a while. I wonder if the car in question was a Canadian import? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif |
