[/ QUOTE ] John, is this the Z11 you were talking about from my town: Flemington, NJ? Did Al put you in touch with the original dealer people? Any time you want to return it to its hometown I'm interested. What's another mortgage between friends https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif Here's a photo of my Z11 in Flemington -Steve |

George, you really know how to nail the stance of your cars. That black Charger is especially breathtaking as is the Vette. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif

Re: Lets see some pictures
Hi Steve, Yes your friend Al was able to help out, he put me in touch with a Sam Risley from Frenchtown NJ who was the New car manager at Taylor Chevy where the car was sold new. Sam remembers driving the car in a parade in Frenchtown he believes it was a town anniversary. Sam said Taylor Chevy ordered many L78 cars they liked the HP cars. The owner of Taylor is somewhere in Florida but he didnt know where. The car was bought by the registered owner before me in 1971 at Smith Ford in Washington NJ Sam said that dealer is still around and I should try and get ahold of them they could still have some records of the previous owner. I havent tried since that was over 30 years ago and wouldnt know where to start.
I also was checking up on the idea of it being the pace car for Flemington Speedway and 2 people said in 69 the Pace car was a 69 Indy pace car. Thanks for the help. |

Love those N96 mag wheelcovers on the Danube Blue '66 Chevelle SS 396. I have a weakness for them as well--see attached photo.

I'd have to agree also. These are the only "hub caps" that I have ever thought were cool.

Here's a pic that CamaroJoe took of 4 of my Camaros last summer, just before the Ann Arbor show. Unfortunately, 3 of these no longer reside here in LV.

Re: Lets see some pictures
After viewing readers pics and info, I'm realizing a sad fact of life. When I was 18 in 1969, I would have killed for the Nova I currently have. However, 35 years later, one muscle car is apparently not enough.

Re: Lets see some pictures
In 1969 I was 16 and bought a brand new 1969 SS Nova dark blue 4 speed small block. I really wish I had that car today. Drag raced it from about 1972 to 1975. Only had 56,000 miles on it in 1976 when I sold it. I Have a real nice R/S-Z/28 1969, but need to add a nova! Small block would be fine. Just got to find the money!! sam https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/burnout.gif

Re: Lets see some pictures
Bruce, that is the coolest looking Yenko Camaro period IMO... if you read my post about my recent Deuce purchase, YOUR car is what got me interested in Yenkos...i was totally blown away by it the first time i saw it, and STILL love looking at it. Post some more pics of that bad-boy! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif
...wonder what a forest green Deuce would look like with black stripes? Hmmmm..... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/cool.gif |

Re: Lets see some pictures
Bruce, I gotta say, still my favorite Yenko of 'em all. BKH gave me a ride to the strip in that car way back in '98 at the very first SCR. I'll never forget the sound of an L-88 at 8,000 RPMS, and seeing the in dash tach riding on the redline. I was beginning to be afraid for my feet. That car will definitely run the number, and 4.10 gears certainly weren't made for top end runs...but don't tell BKH that. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ins/3gears.gif

Here's a picture of my 69 Z28, X-33, Garnet Red. All original, except the color of the rally stripes and vinyl top, they should be black instead of white. Owner in 1990 didn't like the color black for some reason. I will eventually take the stripes and vinyl top back to black, since it is a 52B car.
I will post some pictures of my other two 69 Camaro's soon, one being a convertible. |

Re: Lets see some pictures
I have some really cool Superbird/Daytona pics including Ramo Stott's Cup car (beautiful car with my 7 year old next to it). It is one of two left, Ramo is my uncle's cousin that is how we could get so close to it. Who can I send these to to get them posted? I cannot because they are 500+kb. Can anyone reduce the resolution of these?
