I guess I should have also mentioned I will be there, sans the Chevelle.
I'm rather certain Steve is counting on that.

We will save a spot for you Friday night KP!

smallblockhero 11-16-2025 03:39 PM

ill be there. bringing my cousin, its his first time at the show.

njsteve 11-16-2025 09:08 PM

Hope you all have a wonderful time at the show.

One cautionary note though: I got carbon monoxide poisoning one year when I stayed inside in the loading area for 5 hours enthralled by watching all the cars come in. I finally noticed what was happening and stumbled over to the hotel, got into my room and just sat in the shower dizzy with a pounding migraine and barfing my guts out for the next four hours til my normal O2 levels came back.

The next morning I went over to one of the building managers and asked him whether there were carbon monoxide detectors in the building and what they were reading the day before. He laughed and said they had to unplug them because they were going off nonstop from the beginning of the day.

For some reason he couldn't understand my bewildered look at his response.

I wonder if they disconnect the fire and smoke alarms as well during the show?

Anyway, be safe and enjoy the show. And if you start noticing a headache during move-in day, get outside and get some fresh air ASAP!

The crazy thing about CO poisoning is that it leaves you with an ever decreasing tolerance to it. The next exposure takes less CO to hurt you. If I recall correctly, that was what led Richard Petty to retire from racing. His doctors basically told him that his next race would be his last whether he quit or died while driving. He wisely chose to step away.

I'll stop with the Debbie Downer comments now. LOL. Enjoy the show and post a ton of photos ASAP, especially during move in.

Canuck 11-17-2025 09:27 PM

Crossed the border from Ontairo to Michigan today at 2:00 PM, no issues.

No Kevin Spacey reference with camo shorts?

Pro Stock John 11-18-2025 12:08 AM

I have been getting the Kevin Spacey lookalike comment my whole adult life lol.

I can't wait to see this year's cars and I hope to talk to Butch Leal this time.

Born30YrsLate 11-18-2025 03:34 AM

Unfortunately won't be making it this year, hosting WI opener deer camp. Definitely people and cars I'd like to see. I encourage people to stop by the Abrasive Brush Corp ( https://abrasivebrushcorp.com/ ) vendor booth and check out the goods. Name drop me / reference code PBR to get an additional 10% ...

Jonesy 11-18-2025 04:01 PM

I be around Friday night 5:30 or so, if anyone needs help with anything. Let me know!

dykstra 11-18-2025 04:44 PM

Come prepared to be overwhelmed and amazed. Wear really good walking shoes, the building covers about 20 acres The show doesn't encompass all of the that, but most..~15 acres.

Jim69Z 11-18-2025 07:20 PM

I did buy new Skechers in preparedness for the show.. thanks for the advice Mitch!!
