I called Al Galdi on the phone this evening and he was out to dinner in Ohio somewhere with Doug and Benny.
Have fun guys and safe travels tomorrow.

As a man of faith, I have come to understand the meaning of the phrase, “...that we can’t out give God!” And it’s true! But I think Scott Tedro & MASCAR/Sho-air are on a mission to try out this fact. I have never been so lavished and blessed and made to feel like a “guest”.
Kudos to Doug and Amy, as well. This is my first time at SCR. It took some urging. But like a few other “must do” events I attend annually , I am thinking that this event will be added to that list. Everyone has been super. I feel like I have found my kind of folks.

Great news bb. Yep, they are all real good dudes you mentioned. Makes events like this
much easier and more fun for all.

Xplantdad 07-27-2018 08:37 PM

have fun all!

R68GTO 07-29-2018 11:37 AM

My brother and I had a great time at our first SCR event! Thank you to all that made us feel like part of the community as "newbies". Special thanks to bbbentley who I originally connected with through a Craigslist ad and who sold me some great parts and introduced me to some great people.
The cars were certainly impressive but the people who were willing to share information and knowledge were truly fantastic!:youguysrock:

Had a great time (although short) but it was fun being with old friends and making new ones also...…...Great People...….Had to leave early Saturday and we made it home (Exactly 500 miles) in 7 hours and averaged 22.6 MPG in the Beater...….and as far as I can tell no parts fell off on the entire trip...…. LOL...… Great Event...… The only Disappointment was that Sammy didn't show up...…….Maybe next year...…. BBBenny said he would make it happen...… The Hotel and Venue were perfect and Jasons dinner was awsum !!!! And Cumby took about 8 million pictures......LOL.... Had a great time meeting and talking to Chuck and LaRae Hanson, Great people and a True Car Guy.....

Sounds like a great time was had by all.
Proof that Dennis is slowing down.I remember when he would take 9 million pictures. :burnout:

Wish I could have talked with you about that beautiful 66 Chevelle.. I saw it pulling in but didn't know which one was driving it. Awesome looking ride. Great weekend. Working on some photos this morning hopefully more will add to it.

Darrell, I didn't get to talk to you much. I heard that you weren't feeling well on Saturday and that you had a tire problem on the way home. I'm glad that you got back all right.

Kim_Howie 07-31-2018 11:17 AM

Finally home ... Exhausted, Still smiling .... This year will go down as probably one of the best trips I have ever had. Starting with the hospitality from Jay Ball ... Man you need to go on a hunger strike before coming to this show. Between the Meat N Greet and then the spread at the banquet you had better prepare to to come home with your saddle bags full.

The racing was top notch. Congrats to Andy for taking home the COPO Pete trophy. I'll have my photos on google shortly and maybe DW Cook can transfer the over to here like last year.

Thank you to everyone Doug, Dennis, Jay Ball, Andy M, Shawn, Shoney, Freddie. You are all responsible for making this trip worth taking... We had an all out blast ... Now I could use 2 more days to sleep it off

cook_dw 08-01-2018 06:50 PM

Whenever you have them ready just lmk and I will help out.

Craig_Maiorana 08-01-2018 07:12 PM

I have so many photos that we may have to do what we did last year where i send you the link for my google drive. Thanks again
