Good thing I was wearing my Depends. The car is crazy fast and the A/C blows ice cubes out of the vents. This would have never happened if it wasn't for Ken. SPECIAL THANKS goes out to Ken. He's a Great Guy and a True Friend. I have a few minor things that I need to take care of but I'm sure looking forward to driving my brand new 2016 1965 Impala Supersport. My neighbor came over and just about crapped his pants when I opened the hood.

Welcome to the Family Keith. Big thanks to Ken for doing this. Can I borrow it ?

Thanks Charley. I was told you are the guy who started this whole LS thing. You'll have to wait till I get to play with it for awhile before I even think of borrowing it out.

Re: Keith's 65 Impala upgrade

Sorry I couldn't post yesterday.....had some computer issues.........Anyhow......The Exhaust system got finished and the A/C system got charged.......I was so excited to get that "Pile" out of the Garage that I forgot to take a bunch of pictures on the delivery of the car to Keith.....I had Keith keep the Hood at his house so I wouldn't have to worry about scratching it while working on the car, so.....I drove it back to his house without the hood..........(Lot's of honks from the truck drivers along the way as they could see what was powering the car).......LOL..... Gary followed me to give me a ride home.........any how.....we met Keith, Bob and Keith's wife Kathy at the house and delivered the car.......Explained a lot of the features to Keith that are now built into his "Heap".......LOL......Just glad to be able to help out a fellow Car Guy............

Here's a short Video of the drive to Keith's House

Very nice, Ken...and Keith!

KM265S 06-01-2017 10:07 PM

Are you shittin' me? The car is a blast to drive now. Not that it wasn't fun to drive before but it's 10 times more fun now. Horsepower, torque, reliability, gas mileage and ice cold a/c as a bonus. Over the last 20 years i've faced some serious health issues that have left me with some physical limitations. The car is a lot more user friendly for me now. I've been to a couple cruise nights so far and have gotten a lot of nice complements on the car and the upgrade. Ken did a great job and the conversion was worth every penny. I considered my car to be day 2 before but now with the ls motor i'm gonna call it day 3. Looking forward to miles of smiles this summer. Thanks again ken.

When does the wagon get the LS treatment next? :)

So..........I go to a car show today and guess who brought their Beater down from Milwaukee.........LOL........So.....In looking at it and notice all the dust in the engine compartment.......WTF..........So......Keith tells me he doesn't have much time to clean it anymore because he's too busy driving it now.......LOL

And later the Judge came by and told me he had to take points off because my windows weren't open far enough so he could see inside the car. Naturally I apologized and said "That's OK, I'm not trophy hunting today. It's just a BEATER. I just came to have a good time". LOL !!!!

Ken

If you get a chance, please pass along thoughts and prayers from Rainer. Its been several years since I last had contact with him.

I met Keith when I still lived in SE Wisconsin in the 90s. I actually met his brother Brian first, when he delivered a UPS order of Chevelle parts from Year One, and wanted to see what car the parts were going on. I shared a passion for 65s with Keith, and chatted with him about his beautiful 65 wagon.

Time is precious.

Wishing Keith and his Family the very best.....thanks for sharing this news Ken.

Prayers sent.

Congrats Keith.......
