Re: Scene (seen) on the Street
Spent the last 11 days in Phoenix and while cruizing around found the following cars:
This video was taken about two miles from the house I rented, while searching on Google Earth to check out the surrounding area I saw a collection of old iron in the back garden, drove down the lane and attempted to shoot some video and got a bad reaction from the owner: http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...AZIMG_0521.jpg Found these in other areas of Phoenix: 1970 El Camino http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...olds/AZ001.jpg 196x T Bird http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...olds/AZ002.jpg My son says this is kit car on a VW or Porsche 914 Chasis http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...olds/AZ003.jpg 196x Valient http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...olds/AZ004.jpg 1970 Mustang http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...olds/AZ005.jpg |
Re: Scene (seen) on the Street
Nice!

Re: Scene (seen) on the Street
The T-Bird is a '66 and the Mustang appears to be a '69.... the Valiant might be a '61

Re: Scene (seen) on the Street
I saw a ghost in Daly City (South San Francisco) yesterday afternoon. Man it sounded nice and the pipes had a sweet gurgle as it waited to turn left.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...FMay302012.jpg </div></div> WOW!!! Was it the original 4 speed manual / auto trans car used in Bullitt? How many wheel covers fell off of it as it was driving? |
Re: Scene (seen) on the Street
No idea stick/auto. Yeah, he lost it making the turn and slammed into a parked car as the wheelcover flew off...

Its a beautiful day In vancouver, temp is 4 Celcius and that sabout 37F. Dry with clear skys having followed 5 days of monsoon style downpour. Supprised to see this gem downtown today, the owner believes in "drive 'em every time you can".

Re: Scene (seen) on the Street
I came across this small used car lot out in Red Lion Pa a few weeks ago they had a nice assortment of old cars. It was Sunday, it was closed and there was no indication of price -

If you drove part my house 2 months ago you would have seen this from the street. I have a short window of time every year that I can set up a ghetto spraybooth and shoot a few cars. I did 2 this year. one was mine and one I didnt really charge my friend for painting his wife's car,I told him that when I went to the supply store I was buying paint and supplies for his car and mine, but he was paying for all of it. I dont do it for big money. The neighbors tolerate it because I am the neighborhood go to guy with car and telephone problems. I try not to be too much of an eyesore. "Frankie" (the Frankenstien camaro) now has some base coat clear coat shine. Omni antique torquise. It cut and buff out real real nice. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...ps66e3e9f4.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...psc6b95ef1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...ps03c2e74c.jpg |
Re: Scene (seen) on the Street
I went with a couple of friends yesterday to see what had arrived from your side of the pond. Both cars are very "dry" with minimal rust. Never restored, just repainted years ago. The Fords second owner kept it from 1963 to 2013. Now thatīs a keeper ! Will be seen on the streets around here this summer.

Re: Scene (seen) on the Street
My son sent me this photo of his ship's Captain's car. USS Ronald Reagan in S.D.
Says the captain NEVER puts the top up. http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n...RobinsCapt.jpg |
Re: Scene (seen) on the Street
He also sent this one that he took in the S.D. Naval Base parking lot. He doesn't know the guy but he says the guy drives it daily. 4 spd car. It appears to be very close to original with even the original style wheel covers.
