The shop is a nice building....approx. 32 x 40. I can fit 8 cars but then there is no room to work...we keep 4 across the back and 3 in front. I use those dollys to roll the cars close together to optimize space. Space has radiant heat in the floor, alarm system, great lighting, quiet neighborhood (except for me)Plan on looking for a lift this year if I can....with the radiant heat we don't use the storage bags...don't need it. The guy built it big enough to store his motorhome in. Temp stays at about 60* all winter and very low moisture. the guy has the sheetrock to finish the inside, but that's a summer project because the cars would have to be moved outside.

Cool. 32 x 40 is exactly the size I'm looking at. I hoped to build something tall enough to get my trailer inside as well but that's probably not gonna happen. Budgetary concerns. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/crazy.gif (Midwest translation; POOR!)

NICE SHOP! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif

Dennis, he used to keep his motorhome in there, until I threw him out to get more room https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif

What do you guys think is the best cleaning agent to use on the underbody to try and bring out as much oxide paint as possible?

If you're trying to remove undercoating/sound deadener, I highly recommend the good old Kerosene and paintbrush method. Apply with a spray bottle, let sit overnight, scrub with the soft brushes and wipe down with rags,.......repeat, repeat, repeat! For normal road grime and the like it's hard to beat Simple Green or Krud Kutter. But probably the MOST important item is PATIENCE. Soft brushes are key to retaining the original finish and markings. It takes longer (much, much longer) but you'll be happier at the end.
