What if he just said "no tire kickers"?

Who else misses the era of the angry classified? Or the p'od parts counter guy who thought walking an aisle back to grab a set of plugs was heavy lifting? Sure, it wasn't your fault he was missing a digit or two, but that didn't matter to "Lefty". Now that was hot rodding. C'mon, disgruntled finesse players from days gone by rule!

Did you ever buy parts from Jim's world of Speed at halfday road and Milwaukee in Lincolshire, next to the Cheetah Club.

What? Yeah, maybe I heard 'o that place! Always got a kick out of Tony at Grand, too. And we're talking about guys, here - some of 'em were more moody than my gal at the time!

Heard Ray Dixon's still peddling hop-up stuff up in yer Waukegan dare, y'know. He never seemed to mind being paid, though. Good sort. That 'ol boy's phone could've used an intercooler back in the day ("Dixon Automotive - hang on a minute."). Places like Jeg's and Summit have to be doling out a fierce one on places like Ray's these days, though.

btw, thanks for the pass, sir - much appreciated!

How about the Chevy Shack on Cicero Avenue? You want to talk about disgruntled. He was the first guy that I met in my life who knew everything and was never wrong. The reason I know that is he told me every time I went in to his shop. For some reason I can't remeber his name. I thought it would be etched in my mind forever. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/burnout.gif Ed
