[ QUOTE ] I personally know where A 68 BB Camaro is sitting right now that was wrecked badly many many years ago and parked behind A mech shop in TN. The owner has every piece of paperwork on the car but thieves stole the VIN and Cowl tag and A few other things that were on the car.The engine was gone when I saw it but I cannot remember if he said he pulled it or the thieves took it also. I am sure these have been installed on another Camaro somewhere. The only thing they forgot was to cut the hidden vins off the firewall, they are still attached. Tommy https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/burnout.gif [/ QUOTE ] Well, he needs to re-report that old car to the police. They can run a 50-state DMV check on it. The result: If the car was re-registered, the car gets seized and he gets a restored car back (but then he'd have to remove the VINs and replace them on his old wrecked car. [/ QUOTE ] It's worth the effort doing this! Some one has to made the example of so that the rest of the sleeze-bags know what the result will be once discovery happens https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...emlins/eek.gif |
Re: L78
In the mid eighties I was looking at a 69 Z/28, and long story short couldn't buy it.
Cut to a few years later, its in a local wrecking yard with a pole dent half way through the car basically cutting the car in two. The vin and cowl tags were both missing. Anyone with a rally green, white std int. non r/s no console flat hood Z/28 from BC Canada...check your hidden vin...... |
