Very cool LS5 1-owner 70 Elco... loaded with options. The owner is semi-local to me, and a cool guy. he told me a story about removing the tailgate panel and filling it with cloth bank bags loaded with 150lbs of lead shot, making the car plant hard. He said it often ran with LS6 cars by pulling them off the line by 2 or 3 carlengths while they went up in smoke... According to him, it took a long time for anyone to figure out what he was doing... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif

Re: GM Carlisle....

I missed seeing anyone from the site while I was there (I did bump into Charlie at the Sunnyside Fri. evening). I had planned to set up at my space Sat. but the forecast was too scary, and the sky looked like it, so I never unloaded a thing. My space neighbor brought a Nova for sale, but didn't really set up and he wasn't there much at all. Guess I can't blame him. Plans are already in the works for next year (weather permitting, of course) for 4-6 spaces with a vast uncovering of 30 year collections of '55-'72 VERY neat stuff.
I got to see Bob's old Nassau Blue Belair and it's still looking good! By the way Bob, I talked to Don Fezzel about SCR9 and he just might be willing to bring one of the Z-11s. (He now owns FOUR). I told him I'd send you his number so you can contact him.
And thanks to CamaroJoe for the blurry distant photo of me lurking in bldg T behind all those super cars....
Hope to meet more of you next year... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif

hey charlie,
Here you are still talking about that original paint 67.
It was still for sale when i left like 3:15 or so on sunday. What a nice old car. Its funny how the simple old unrestored cars impress us as much as the rare restored ones.
you just dont see them very often. see ya! steve keech

I've always felt that the unrestored or "lightly used" vintage vehicles should be as welcomed at Carshow gatherings as much as the frame off restored are today.
Seeing so Many great detailed restored cars can take a slight toll on oneself, and they begin to seem all the same as the hours go by sometimes.
When you then suddenly walk upon a unrestored or "lightly used" vintage vehicle in that same scenario, you begin to see the details on both clearer, and respect & appreciate them both moreso then ever before.

Yeah that 67 got to me...There had been no fluffing going on to ready that car for the car for sale area. It was the nephew of the owner selling it and he knew nothing about old cars. He changed the orig fan belt because he was afraid it would come off. He put it in the trunk. Most of the time you see nice fresh bright orange paint under the hood to make it look more saleable looking.

Wow...I learn something new every day here...I've never seen a clock mounted that way in a Camaro before. I'm so used to seeing the console there.

This has to be a pretty rare option...?
