Sam,I think it got too late in the year, and in my case the 68 were already being sent to dealers. My car wasn't sold until 8-67 and Yenko still Had 9 other 67 Super cars in inventory. I think the same on the 68's, plus Don knew the 69's were coming with the 427 installed already. IMO whatever that's worth.

Are there any unconverted 1969 Yenko Camaros around?

Dan,
The '69 Yenko Camaros weren't conversions. They were factory COPOs. You could however, in a unique situation, have a converted COPO.

Agree with Kim, it seems that the cars arrived so late in the 68 yr and they were sitting on the lot waiting for conversion, then the 69's were right behind them already coverted at the factory, so they put the last 6 non coverted up for sale "as is"...instead of wasting money to convert them ...this is opinion based on the knowledge of the people on this and others sites. makes sense...i believe there is a yenko newpaper article in aug of 68 that has toms and my car for sale plus some of the other copo's with the stock engine (396/375hp in them - meaning they were pushing them to sale uncoverted. My car, as documented by the original owner - had the yenko tach and gaugues installed when they picked up the car...so it was almost ready to have the engine swapped - but never did.
