That Vernon Rowley car was from Baltimore, MD and I remember Vernon pretty well. He had several cars including at least one AWB car and had some sponsorship from Doug Griffith Chrysler Plymouth that was literally right next door to his gas station on Harford Rd. in Parkville, MD. Vernon always ran locally and sometimes would enter some larger events. I'm pretty sure he got some cars from Sox & Martin. Also, I think he ran under the name "Mr. 4-Speed". He died a few years back. I'm sure you can find more info. about him fairly easily if need be. Try Stunkard or Goyda or CarlfromPA---they would most likely have some pics.
You GOTTA bring that car to York in July---you'll be surprised how well it will be remembered there! |
