Re: 427/425 Biscayne?
Steve thanks, I think I know who your talking about. All I have found from him were B&W shots, thats the first color lettered up photo I have seen. Joe, its been restored a long time ago, needs a little work now but really, its not up to par with the stuff I am doing now. I dont intend to do it that way either, I want to drive it some and have fun with it. It still has "battle scars" that I will never fix. The rear floor area is beat up bad along with the headliner having a couple holes from a blown driveshaft. The rear end cover has many dimples from blown gears, and the rear crossmember had too be welded from too many hard launches. I have every piece of paperwork except a build sheet for it. I will try to find a current photo, but it looks like the old car yet just with no lettering, even the rally wheels are on it yet.

I made that picture the wallpaper on my laptop. Very cool. |
Re: Too COOL !
If any of you guys have old Chevy High Performance mags, check out Dec 1993. That car is on the cover. Micky was involved in a musclecar shootout with that car. He drives it like he hates it!!!!! But we know he really loves it.

Re: 427/425 Biscayne?
Thank you, L78Impala, for the kind words about my 67 Bel Air.I have been silently enjoying this site for quite a while. Excellent information and always something new to learn. When I saw you post the picture of my car I figured it was time to join the party. I watched the number of page views on the Casey Marks Biscayne story go past 2700 and wondered if this was turning into the Super SIZE Car registry!
Best regards, Marc |

68 Biscayne ET
'68 Biscayne-14.902 @ 99.27 Mike and son Micky Hale split the driving duties. Mike, who hadn't been to a dragstrip in 20 years, started off with a 15.575 @ 96.95. Tire spinning was the big problem, but the Hales also changed plugs and adjusted the valves. As the temperature went up, so did the times. The best Mickey could muster in the 98 heat was 16.608 @ 94.98. After Mike clicked off a 15.269 @ 98.68 the next morning, Mickey recorded runs of 15.053 @ 99.27 and 14.902 @ 99.44. |

Re: 427/425 Biscayne?
Marc,
Fantastic! That's one of the best things about this site. It drags all these cars from the past out of the closet where we can all enjoy them again. Glad you're here. Now, tell us some stories!!! |
