Thanks Mitch, the (white) paint on the firewall is stripe color overspray from the under-cowl paint operation which was done so the stripe color was visible with the cowl panel installed when viewed through the vents. Sometimes the firewall received some overspray color which was the case on my car.

----Love that you resisted using GM stamped heater hoses. It seems that some of us think the GM stamped hoses came on everything, and that just isn't true!....Bill S
