Also the Moroso hood appears to be a combiation of a 2" cowl hood and a scoop.

Greg W on FB has the look that I like, he told me it's a Moroso hood:
|
So my only concern about getting one made is getting the front transition right.

I'd be curious as to the width of the base of the hoods y'all have, is it 10 or 13 inches wide? Length 31 inches?

Update for anyone interested. I asked around and found a used scoop off a drag car, should have it next week. I'll attach a pic of the scoop and a car that's example of what I'd go for. From looking at pics from the past, some cars had a scoop on a flat hood and then you have these Moroso pin-on hoods that have a scoop on a cowl. Well I'll explore both scenarios with Glasstek (flat and cowl hood) and we'll see what might work.

Scoop I sourced might not work out, guy was quoted insane shipping. I'll check with him one more time and if he's a bust I'll move and find another.
|
Where is the scoop at? Maybe a member here could help and pick it up.

Was like the MN / Canada border, I am confident I can find another.
Hey if you are at the shop would love a side shot of that gennie Moroso hood! |
Dan thanks for the pics.
It was very useful to know the scoop, from rise to rise not including the lip is around 38-39 long. That narrows my search. Since I would mount this to a flat hood, I think I should look for a 5-6" tall scoop. Back to the hunt. |
