I attended Mecum and I saw early on that there were a greater percentage of cars that would bring big money. Early days were as expected as the crowds were fair but certainly not overwhelming. The arena of course was open only to verified bidders. More so this year than in years past, those bidders were on hand for the lots that they were interested in purchasing versus just sitting there watching lots roll by. Obviously as the week plus moved along and the gems were closer to going across the block the bidders increased dramatically.
I would say that this years offerings had a very noticeable "very well done driver quality" to many cars. Don't get me wrong, there were some great cars, but if you were in the market with a reasonable budget, you could find a quality car here.

Crowds were steady but not the typical crush of people. The last weekend of course was a bit different. I would expect that future events will be similar in nature.

I would say, numbers/pricing is generally UP a good amount. I would note this '68 Mustang coupe @ $47,300 WITH Buyers prem:

Little over a year ago, there was a'67 AND '68 that were pretty much Identical, same stripe, vinyl roof, 390 auto Ac cars and BOTH were in the $18,000 range WITH buyer prem. Now this could be one of those cars, just restored/clean fixed up as it seems to be much nicer shape. Also the other 2 were cream color I think.

This '70 L78 Nova seems to be a very strong price for those cars:

This W30 convert seems down pretty much to what they usually bring:

Sits pretty bad though

The 001 and 002 Firebird that Gas Monkey did seemed to be ok $$$ wise.

There was one just like this in Southern Cal I considered about 5-6 years ago, same exterior color, same color interior, but I think was a bench seat. Can't be too many 70 L78 Nova's floating around with these same colors.

Question, being a 70 I would expect to see the flat intake that was used on both Chevelle and Camaro that year. I'm seeing a 69 style intake in the pics.
Is this correct?? Maybe for an early car??

The Aqua/parchment 1970 W30 convertible was a mess in person. It was noted earlier the car sat too high, but the alignment of the fenders and doors was off and the interior was put together very poorly.

Wow, that is impressive. I thought my dads 600 mile one was low but 58? That’s incredible.

I was watching it online and junk was going for 15 like a '89 Toyota.

This Nova sold at $125,000...wonder what the market for a survivor 69 L78 Nova would be?

With a Chinese booster and Radial T/A's no less.

My chin is officially on the floor.

75 & 76 are like the worst cars of all time from GM.

I cannot believe a 75 Buick smogger, non performance model would bring $60,500.

Guessing copious amounts of alcohol were involved.
