Congrats to Frank and Matt. I know of a '67 Z painted that same special paint blue. I look forward to (hopefully) seeing this one at a future MCACN show.

Mi want to know more about this car 🙌

My reasoning behind saying it could possibly be the same mix, is that the color on 1970 Oldsmobile Rallye 350 models is actually the same as 1969 Daytona Yellow on Camaro/Chevelle models. Maybe it’s the camera or lighting, but the restored car and the sample photo of a car with a vinyl top appear different. The 1970 color I’m referring to resembles the sample photo, and to my eyes looks much lighter/softer than the hue of the restored car (in the photos).

I owned a 70 Olds Rallye 350, one of the fastest cars from a dead stop I ever owned, factory stock.
I do not believe the Daytona Yellow Chev colour is even remotely close. I had a factory L88 Daytona yellow hood on my LT1 and the colours are not close at all...

With this Z/28 only having 19,xxx original miles the car was mostly untouched. Most of the assembly line parts were still present at disassembly.

Here is a pic of my 1971 special paint Carolina Blue LS5 convertible. 1 of 2 known LS5 convertibles to exist and the only 1971. Helmut has the other LS5 convertible - his is Carolina Blue w. blk stripes and blk top mine is Carolina Blue w. white stripes and white top

I love the Carolina blue. I had seen that color on Camaro, but I had not seen a Chevelle in that color. Awesome.

Congrats. Once you get the car done you'll be surprised how much attention the car will get cause of the color.
