More Pics, if you look at the 4th & 5th photo, you can see the car still has the original SS hood on it.

Yes, beautiful car... The race history and original lettering are beyond cool...:eek2:

Anyone know when those timeslips are from? And what combo, 424 or 454?

Kind of odd that A/C ducts got put on this old drag car. Any story behind that? Was it being used as a street cruiser later in life?

Dover closed in I believe 1976, so they would be in the early 70's. The early photo with the original SS hood on the car, I would assume it still had the original 396-375 engine, it was replaced with a 427 w/the tunnel ram & twin 850 Holley's. The LS7 that is in the car now was bought around 2015 from Jerry Ruhl owner of Ruhl's Performance in Mt. Joy, PA and the original tunnel ram & carbs that were on the car in the early 70's are on the LS7.

John, Sandy Cacciola eventually made the move from NY to Florida & added AC to the car. When he sold the car, it came back to NY when the new owner installed the LS7 & removed the AC.

Thanks, I'm looking at doing a 427 NOW with that same tunnel ram setup for a 70 Nova.
