'63 Catalina, 421 SD (converted to an HO car), 4 speed, aluminum front clip, Royal Bobcat appearance package. That's the only still photo I have of that car. We found some early home movies and race footage and I had a hero card made from the information we could glean: http://i1016.photobucket.com/albums/...psdd47684f.jpg |

Re: Vintage Pontiac photos
These are early production '65's (likely first week of August 1964) and have been purported to be factory lightweights, built using thin steel sheetmetal:

Sorry about the double post back there; my computer is being a bit balky.

They were probably made in the Chevrolet Die Room at Chevy Flint Manufacturing. http://i1016.photobucket.com/albums/...oyal/001-1.jpg |

Re: Vintage Pontiac photos
Thanks, guys. I have way more pictures that I do time to post them.
Here's a few more: These are the Pontiac, Michigan assembly plant. All three of my vintage Pontiacs were built here: http://i1016.photobucket.com/albums/...I_Postcard.jpg http://i1016.photobucket.com/albums/...Pontiac_MI.jpg http://i1016.photobucket.com/albums/...y_Postcard.jpg http://i1016.photobucket.com/albums/...tPontiacMI.jpg http://i1016.photobucket.com/albums/...lant_c1970.jpg http://i1016.photobucket.com/albums/...2PeteEstes.jpg The shipping yard. This is why cars can get "lost" in the assembly plant: http://i1016.photobucket.com/albums/...y_Car20Lot.jpg Pre-Pontiac: http://i1016.photobucket.com/albums/...MotorCarCo.jpg |
