I can only remember one '62 in a magazine that had a single carb. Was nice to see.

Thanks for the kind words, the other guy travelling with us
had a personal best ET time of 13.74@ 102.+ 396/375hp 4 speed with canadian docs and stripe delete. Super clean car.

Technically, it's not a stripe-delete because it doesn't have Cowl Induction. :-)

Curious; is it safe to assume then that stripes were standard with the cowl induction hood and an extra cost option with the non-cowl hood? How much did the stripes cost if ordered as an option?

Re: Pure Stock drags Sept 16-17

There were four choices:

- Standard hood with no stripes
- Standard hood with optional stripes
- Cowl hood with standard stripes
- Cowl hood with stripe-delete

So the money outlay would be either for the Cowl hood or the stripes for the standard hood. I don't know the prices of each, but I'm sure the info is out there.

Always wanted to go to this event. When I lived up north for 2 years it rained both years and since I moved down to St. Clair Shores I have been really busy the weekends of this event with work or trips out of state. One day I will make it there. The pics and videos make me want to be there for sure.

I was going over this thread again, and I still can't wrap my mind around that! That et/mph is on a whole other level!! But I gotta know: did uncle Jimmy supply some secret foot wear?

Maybe now we know why Marlin parked Ol' Gobi and concentrates on the Jr D.
