Re: My Dog "Jax" passed away today.
It's tough losing a pet, we went through that a couple of years ago when our lab had to be put down due to heart failure around 13 years old. I never realized how much I talked to the dog until I was talking to the floor. It didn't take us long to decide to get another dog. I think it was 2 weeks before we picked up a lab mix from a rescue. She's a total head case with people but has an interesting personality. Hang in there, you'll find another dog and start all over which helps heal the pain.

Re: My Dog "Jax" passed away today.
The companionship of a good pet is unmatched. Unconditional love coupled with the willingness to overlook the worst is simply unfound elsewhere. I too do not have children, so my wife and I live from every ounce of joy our dogs bring. I had to put my female Yellow Lab down on my birthday a couple of years ago. Simply the worst thing I have ever had to do. I still have this guy "Hunter". I try to make the best of every day we have left. He is 11 now. My thoughts are with you......
