It is my understanding that there have been some changes for the better on these bodies since they first came out. BTW, you apparently didn't live through the 60s-70s to see what kind of shape NEW sheet metal from the auto manufacturers arrived in.

As far as a V.I.N. there are several different ways to get on those bodies including a State issued one. Thes bodies are probably the best starting point for a good clean, rust free body for on of these cars.

i paid 8k for my car to start with.complete with everything.the dynacorns just for the body was way more than what im into the whole car for.plus again .i would feel like it would be a china kit car.thats just my opinion.

I love the Pro Touring cars...no matter how you slice it they are still hot rods...with gobs of hosepower and handle better than most cars! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...s/headbang.gif

Keep doing what you are doing. I think it will be cool when you done. Money saved too vs. that repop shell of a car.

IMO, the Dynacorn bodies are what ought to be used for Pro touring and Pro street. Leave the original Camaro bodies for enthusiasts guys who care about originality and customize to your heart's content on a Dynacorn body.

The car in question here was not ruined. Its been given a new lease on life. Leave the poor guy alone. He is building a car he wants to enjoy. Isn't that the idea of a hot rod? So who cares he doesn't want to build a numbers matching 327/210hp PG auto Camaro? He wants to drive a cool Camaro, let him build away! I bet he'll drive it more than you drive your "show car."

A new lease on life? Did you see the condition of the car prior to the new work being done? I didn't see it as something crying out in need of attention. An honest opinion was asked for and an honest opinion was given.

Im building my 69 camaro originally 307 into a pro-touring car. I gave the 307 away.
I doubt anyone wants to see another big block clone car running around.

Your car, your name on the registration, you get to decide how to customize YOUR car...ultimately your decision...but I think it's cool. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/flag.gif
