Re: SOLD my 1969 SS396 300 Deluxe Post Sedan

The drivers side vent/wing rivet is not original to my car and the bracket is bent a little. I went to a local salvage yard and bingo, the guy that was with me found these.

Plus, these vents have clear glass in them and the one on my passenger side is tinted. Turned out to be a nice score.

Awesome find! The puzzle is coming together nicely.....do you have the new front windshield and back glass?

Dan.

I have a new dated clear windshield coming and the back glass was original to the car and in excellent condition so that will be put back in when I am ready. Which should be in a couple of weeks or so.

I took the left fender off to repair the dog leg and found what appears to be the numbers 269 behind it. Any idea what this would mean?

After a little more investigating over on the Team Chevelle site, the 269 is a partial number of my sequence number on the trim tag.

Correct! Looking good! Did you happen to see the NOS part number tag underneath the drivers side fender. Hopefully its still there.

No I didn't. I did see the D.Vasic part number on the eyebrow trim though. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif

Yes, I label all of my own personal parts... so I do not mix them up with other same exact parts I have. Plus if I were to sent these parts out for resto, better chance of getting my parts back.
