Here's the slip from my 11.75 run this past weekend...in looking it over, I'm actually *slow* in my second 1/8th mile for some reason? Had I run the same 4.0x second 1/8th mile like I was a few weeks before, I'd have had my 11.6x...not sure if the stiff head wind was to cause, or if I still needed to throw some jet at it? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif

Rob,

I went up 2 jets from my "Stanton/good air" setup, which should've left me with a little wiggle room on the rich side...but I left my LM-1 sitting on our work bench, so all I had to go on was plug readings, and they looked perfect, and with the unpredictability of the weather/track I was having trouble guaging my slips...oh well, that's why we don't race on paper, right?! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif

7.55 in the 1/8th is rolling on that tire. I wonder what the vette 1/8th mile was. I am guessing around 6.60.

Actually, the 2nd half numbers look about right to me. If you consider the "rule of thumb" formulas of multiplying your 1/8 mph by 1.25 and your 1/8 e.t. by 1.57, you come up with 117.77 mph and an 11.92 e.t. You bettered both of those figures. As it is, the car gained an actual 23.61 mph on the back half, and that's, as you said, running into a stiff headwind. A typical 10-11 second car will normally gain 23-24 mph on the back half (provided it doesn't have the aerodynamics of a barn door, that is), so I'd say you're covering the back half pretty darned well.

You're really close on the Vette 1/8th mile time. The actual time was 6.617 in the 1/8

Terry said the tire shake was so bad on that run he short shifted into second gear and almost let off the gas, but after he shifted into second gear the tire shake went away. Seems like there may be an even better e.t. to come !!

Neat time slip. How far the cars have come in such a short time. It's just amazing the ET's. The 2nd half of the time slips are just unreal. The question is where will it stop? I think that is a $ and cents question.
