Dan, I was thinking that there was no tail light trim. I thought if it had it it would be more prominent. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif

Forget the the Vehicles,,, There are appx over 10,000hp on the point of that TRAIN!
Awesome SD-45's (EMD-GM units) 645 Cu/in per Cylinder 16 cyl Monsters = Maintenance hogs!!
Talk about grunt https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif

Hustle Muscle was a special unit manufactured for the 'Great Northern', the side of unit was painted as such. The Detroit auto makers were not the only Horse power war in town. GE, EMD, Alco etc were duking it out in the race to put the most HP in a given locomotive. To say the least bigger is not better when it comes to tractive effort. Many SD45's were later de-rated from 3,600hp to the maintenace friendly 3,000 hp 12 cyl version,,,,he, he, out with the L72 and in with the L35

These are very neat pictures
Kind of like Al Bundy in the 80's for Me

Ahh..Beautiful Akron Ohio... Look at the building stright ahead with the round silo's, that is the old Quaker Oats plant in downtown Akron.
Years ago they made it into a Hotel, and now used as dorms by the University of Akron.

The McNeil Akron Co. in the forground built tire making equipment and moulds for the Rubber Co's back in the day's when we actually made stuff.
And that is your local history lesson for the day https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif
