Kevin, congrats! What a great car!!! Restoration looks awesome. (drive it anyway https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif)
One of my personal holy grail cars. If you need to give it away, all my Pontiacs have blue guts so it would feel right at home https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...-I-Have-It.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif Enjoy that RAIV's................there is no substitute John |
Re: 1970 Pontias Trans Am Ram Air IV
Kevin, congrats on the car - i saw the car at the CPR shop as it progressed over the years and each step of the way was fantastic.
Congrats again and good luck with the car... Nice job CPR - Chuck and Paul! |
Re: 1970 Pontias Trans Am Ram Air IV
Kevin, That fuel line and those brake lines are the talk of the Pontiac Trans Am community. May I suggest that you may want to change those items to the correct steel lines. Also I hear that some of the underhood gloss levels my not be correct. Mind you I have not seen your car in person, but this is what I have heard. Also remember if thats the only things that "the experts" can come up with than you are light years ahead of most out of the box restorations.
Atleast drive it around the block and fell that Pontiac RAIV POWER.... |

Re: 1970 Pontias Trans Am Ram Air IV
I realize the air cleaner and heater box are too glossy, but, thats the way i like them. No offense taken and there are several opinions on the brake lines. The PY forum has a post on the 70-73 tech comments about what the AACA has to say about both. In the end we all have our own quirks and opinions as did the guys who worked on them years ago, different workers, different shifts, mondays and fridays, tired or not, who knows. The reason we show them, IMO, is so that we can discuss these types of things, is there a 100% right or wrong on some things, who knows, but, the guy paying the bills at the end has to be happy and i am. I will say that i have seen other cars different than the way i would do them, but, i like them too, just a difference in opinion or preference. Baskin and Robbins has 31 flavors of Ice Cream because not everyone like the same flavor, candy looks good and smells good, but, tastes different, depending on who you ask!

Kevin,, Great looking car. As for the Pontiac guys, send them some cheese to go with the whine. You give those guys a beautiful woman to do with as they please and they'll still complain. Again, great restoration.
PS. I have three Pontiacs and I will not complain. LOL https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif |

[/ QUOTE ] Because inevitably that beautiful woman will open her mouth and start talking. (I am able to type that because my beautiful wife is out shopping right now https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif) Awesome car. One of these decades I'll finish mine and we can run 'em. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif |
