The reason I ask was I was curious about the 4 blade prop in the 1st photo. Based on that I new it was very late production. The -5NL used the -32W, 2300 hp 2800 , 200 HP more than the last variant, and has a two piece nose case that you can see in the 2nd photo. Very cool Corsair. Thanks Mike |

The really cool Corsair is the F2G Super Corsair! That came with the 3000 hp 28 cylinder R-4360. Bob Odegaard (built the wings for the MN CAF Red Tail P51) was killed in this airplane in North Dakota in 2012 leaving only one flying Super Corsair in the world remaining.

Yep, and only 10 built plus a prototype built from a F4U.
Thanks |
I wonder what the last one is worth? $$$$$$$$$$$$

Old photo of a Goodyear built F2G with the P&W R4360, only 10 built, orders canceled after WW II as the jet age killed it.
Anyone know how to find the old Aviation thread we had B4 the sight upgrade ? Thanks Mike |

This car is real as rain. I met the owner and viewed the car back in the '90s at a LGCA convention (I think in Indiana). I recently documented it for the dealer. http://msclassiccarsllc.com/VehicleDetails.aspx?vid=771 Verne |
Beautifully car,that's how I would've ordered it.Someone tell him it's Joliet IL.

----All that and (one of my favorite options) rear antenna. WOW! I worked for Billy Jacobs on a few different projects and he was a great friend of my boss, Richard Buxbaum. Billy has passed on but he was a nice guy and a huge collector, both of cars and vintage wood boats. He took over the Bill Jacobs Chevrolet dealership at a young age when his Dad passed away. Restored a 1956 or 57 Jaguar 150 coupe for him. It had super low miles but Billy wanted it perfect and that's what he received.......Bill S

Red Tail Tuskegee P51C which I helped restore the first time it was restored back in MN when I lived there. It has crashed twice since then killing a friend/pilot the first time and I unknowingly watched him leave formation and lose altitude without knowing he crashed moments later. Most of the surviving Tuskegee airmen during the time of the restoration had come thru the hanger at one time or another and I was able to meet and talk to them. What an honor!

A question came up on the 1970 Coronet 440 posted in the eBay section concerning it's brakes. The 440 came standard with 10.5 x 2.5 inch drum brakes. RPO B11 was HD brakes, the same drum brakes standard in the Super Bee and R/T. They are 11 x 3 front and 10.5 x 2.5 inch rear. It was a $22.65 option. Though Front Disc Brakes (B41) were only $5 more than B11, they required the power booster which was another $42.95 |
