If you need a place to hit the hay for a night in Nevada, you'll hit the jackpot in Las Vegas. The City of Lights is home to more than 151,000 hotel rooms; crashing in a different room every night would keep you busy for around 413 years.

California's latest GDP of around $3.2 trillion surpasses that of the entire United Kingdom. This means that if the Golden State were its own country, it would have the fifth largest economy in the world.

After an 80-year production run in numerous guises, Ford’s Lincoln Motor Company division is retiring the Continental name to concentrate on crossovers and SUVs.

At first glance I thought this was a Bentley. Very tasteful, elegant design IMO.

How anyone (soccer moms excepted) could choose a belly-button SUV or jelly-bean crossover over this is beyond me.

Three out of five of the oldest rivers in the world snake through these 50 states. The New, Susquehanna, and French Broad rivers are thought to be between 265 and 325 million years old.

I know this location. This is the Wrightsville bridge that crosses the Susquehanna river between Wrightsville and Columbia PA. Route 462 crosses here and in the distance you can see route 30. The pylons just pass the bridge are from a covered bridge that was intentionally set in fire to keep the confederate forces from taking Lancaster PA during the civil war. It worked. Within a few days was the battle of Gettysburg and the rest is history.

----Steve,,,You are so close to the finish line on your GD's Lincoln it's almost a travesty not to have whitewalls on it. I'm thinking you have other priorities and that's OK, but at some point you have to erase this horrible affront. Sorry, had to call you out, but all in good fun......Bill S

Yeah, it originally was equipped with Michelin 225R15 radial, white stripe tries. The spare is original but this set of BFGs was all I had in the garage when the rear tire blew last summer. Looks kind of gangster but a nice set of white stripe radials would look nice on it again. Of course Michelin doesn't make them anymore and no one reproduces them.

There is currently a cool set of dual gold and white stripe radials out there but the tread looks like a 4x4 tire with mud and snow rated tread. I have no idea why they make them with that tread style???. Would be cool since the gold is the same color as the car but the tread design is a deal breaker.

Unfortunately, the only 15" version is the mud and snow tread. The one pictured above comes in 16" and 18"

olredalert 07-04-2020 03:08 PM

----Those 15 inch ones look like the tread might produce too much noise to be acceptable on a Lincoln......Bill S
