The roof is pretty hammered anyway,and so is the hood.The good part is that other then that the car looks pretty solid and original,with mostly useable panels.I dont think this car has seen the road in close to 30 years maybe more.

Shame about the sunroof, but the Motion type spoiler is kinda cool. Since it's in the 201 area code, I suspect it could be a real one!

Tell me why your calling that spoiler a motion type spoiler, I have one of those that came with a "motion" vette that I am trying to currently sell. Anybody have a picture from "back in the day" anywhere of a 1969 Motion Corvette 427 car with reverse gills, motion flares, modified chairs and that type spoiler? If you do I would love to see it.

Same basic lines as the spolier used on the 69 Mexico bound Green Camaro. Don't know if the pedistals are similar. Good Luck!

I know they had three on the Camaro, but the top looks to be similar. Just saying it's plausable to have had similar origins.

Tony, there is a HUGE difference in rotting terms when you see cars with the TOPS of the fenders rotted vs a Camaro sitting in the sun in CA ... although junk on the floors WILL rot them out eventually https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/smirk.gif

I have been trying to buy the 1961 impala bubbletop for some of the stainless and will most definately check the rack on the wagon if its still there. I havent been there for a year don't know if it is still there or not.

I took a ride out to the the guy with the cars to check on the cars. The chevelle wagon and several other cars are gone??? I guess when scrap was up some of the cars went to the crusher https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...emlins/mad.gif

This is not what you'd call a barn find, but it is a car that’s been hibernating for quite some time.
My friend Jim bought this ’56 Vette while he was in high school.
It was almost 20 years old at the time and had seen several paint jobs and some hard street duties in its life.

It’s an early production car, one of the first 100 or so off the line, loaded up with 2 tops, the rag a power unit, 2 x 4’s and an automatic.

The car was partially disassembled as the necessary parts were gathered and life and other cars jumped in front of its reassembly.
Covered with a blanket, it became a shelf / workbench in his Dad’s garage for the next 32 years.

Not too long ago his Dad said to him, “Think I'll ever get to ride in this before I die?”

This lit the fire, and the car was pulled out and Jim’s been spending several nights a week working to get it back together.
It’s scheduled for the painter not too long from now, so the thrash begins!
