A Fathom Green 69 Chevelle SS 396, and a blue Malibu next to it. The 'Bu doesn't seem to have holes for the Malibu lettering on the quarters.

I only went through about half the yard because I left the wife and kids at my mom's house and we had friends and family coming by to see us and I was just pressed for time, but I'll go through next time I'm up there and get more pics. I've also got a bunch of random pics that I've taken here and there through years I'll get scanned in and posted sometime. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif |

Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
WOW, that place looks awesome. Incredible amount of Post cars!
What is the story of the yard? Is it still open and doing business? Looks like a place I could spend many hours. Thanks for posting the pics. Bashton |
Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
Man...finaly made it through this thread, I`ll try to get some pics this weekend of afew in my area!
About 10-15 years ago I found a 69` SS 396 ragtop chevelle sitting in a field. The only parts missing where the back bumper & carb, but the hood even had rust holes!! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif |
Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
It is funny that when most of the cars in this yard were junked they were probably worth close to nothing and now there are probably over a hundred cars in that yard that would make a good start for a "project", better than alot of cars you could find anywhere else.

Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS 76 TransAm 455 4speed
Rotter update:
In March of last year I posted shots of this Cobra #2133, that had a brief stint out about 5 years ago but other then that has been sitting under a blanket since the mid eighties - - http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t...ofCobra001.jpg - Well after almost a year it's back on the road again. The fix was more severe than originally thought - The last time out it had some work done it by a repair shop on the mainline, who were "Cobra experts" Brake / clutch fluids were mixed - synthetic & regular which crystallized necessitating the replacement of all hoses and wheel cylinders. The starter was replaced, a long snout with a short one, which would not properly engage the flywheel after it chewed the crap out of it. The kinked and bent fuel line was completely replaced. The wires under the hood were chewed by mice and in going to fix them, it was found at some point in its life the car was rewired under the hood – all with one color blue wires. This was the hardest part having to diagram and rewire from scratch. Well it’s all done now, took it to a car show last Saturday, the first real time it’s been seen in 25 years! Everyone loved it!! My friends in no rush to get it back, wants me to use it for a while to make sure there are no other problems! That could take some time – it’s a BALL to drive!! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/smile.gif - - http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t...r/42509002.jpg - http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t...r/42509006.jpg - [b] At home with the Musclecars! - - http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t...20Fair/004.jpg - |
