The rear fenders are not the same for the coupe and the convertible. That means Buick would have needed 2 different rear spoilers. That along with wanning sales of convertibles in general in 1970 meant coupe only.

The early production 1969 Shelby Mustangs did not have the HD spindles used on the Boss 302. So the tires were limited to E7015s - same used for the 1968 models. If you put F6015 tires on one of these cars, hard turns will damage the shock towers eventually ripping them away from the body. Ford found this out with testing on the Boss 302 hence the HD spindles. Once they became available, they were installed on the Shelbys along with the F6015 Polyglas GT tires.

----I have another question on Buick GSX's. Are GSX's all non Stage Ones, or did Buick just leave off the Stage One emblem on a Stage One ordered GSX?
