1976 Torino Elite. I was all set to buy one of these while working for FoMoCredit when a dealer friend of mine who owed me a favor said he had a 1975 Granada Ghia, triple red loaded with a sunroof. Great car.

This is wrong. The last use of the RAIV was 1970. For some reason Pontiac, who was well known for their extensive use of engine callouts, didn't use any on the 1970 Trans Am.

If you're going to build a clone/tribute, no reason to stick with factory options only. The engine callout stripes in 1970 was only available in black from the factory.

Originally called Mad Max 2, it was changed for American audiences who probably never heard of Mad Max as it didn't go into wide release in the USA. TRW did VERY well and spurned other sequels. It also put Mel Gibson in the limelight.
