That's got to be one of the worst racks to go to and watch a race. If you are sitting on the front stretch you can't see a thing until the cars come out of 4 and then they are gone again when they go out of 1. The rest of the time you have to watch it on the big screen TVs, so you might as well be at home watching it.

Yup -- totally agree ... we used to go to the race and get back home to Illinois and watch the delayed broadcast on the tube. Getting into and out of the area around the track was a nightmare ... when they started broadcasting the race live ... just stayed home and watched it on the tube.

Growing up, I thought that word was a modern invention. It was in fact (along with the word "snafu") invented by American GI's during WWII. Saw a documentary on PBS about them.

Everyone knows what fubar is: "fudged up beyond all recognition." (obviously cleaned it up)

I had never heard what snafu meant until the documentary.

Just as some car museums are either reopening or preparing for the day when they can, the World of Speed Motorsport Museum in Wilsonville, Oregon, has announced that it will not reopen after being closed because of the coronavirus pandemic.

“Under the Oregon Health Authority’s current guidelines, the museum would fall into Phase Two or Phase Three of the state’s reopening plan, potentially pushing reopening into 2021,” the museum said in its announcement. “Many of our guests, volunteers, students and docents fall into the category of most vulnerable to the COVID-19 virus, which means efforts to keep everyone safe could push reopening further, even after OHA restrictions are lifted.

“After much deliberation, our board determined it would be unable to maintain the facility during such an extended closure.”

In its announcement, the museum noted that in compliance with Oregon law, its assets and fund will be distributed to other 501(c)(3) museums and schools.

The next big streaming service to be birthed will be HBO Max which will happen on May 27. $15 a month. If you already have HBO NOW or HBO GO you will probably just be folded into the new service but check with your ISP to make sure. HBO Max taps into the library of Warner Bros. content, like Friends, and other licensed programming, like South Park, alongside a slate of original shows and movies.
