Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
Does the '62 Dodge have a fender tag? What motor is supposed to be in the 'cuda that you saved - does it have a fender tag?
|
Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
let's see some pics of the Cuda. What color should it be? From the looks of the name plate it appears to be a '71. Correct?

It had a built 383, dual point, headers and a push button auto. The 383 grenaded one night when he pushed it too much on top end. The I have the tag for the 'Cuda. The 'Cuda is a 74, the last year they were made. It was a 318 3 speed, but now it has a very strong 340, 4 speed, and a 4.10 super track pack dana 60 out of a 70 440 6 pack challenger. Only motors you could get in a 'Cuda in 74 were the 318 and the 360. |

Its the car in my sig. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/haha.gif This is what it looked like when I first got it uncovered. http://people.clemson.edu/~jaander/I...er100_2445.JPG Original Paint. http://www.fquick.com/images/vehicle...5450110721.jpg Its still a work in progress right now. I really enjoy working on it and driving it because you can catch a first gen camaro out from time to time or even a mustang, but when I'm driving this, I know I won't see another one on the road. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/wink.gif All of my friends want me to leave the body alone and drive it as is. Its a sleeper until I fire it up. here is a little vid I made when I got it running after it had been sitting 25+ years. Yes, the 340 was built that long ago and it fired up and ran great with a new fuel system, ignition system, and an engine wiring harness. No exhaust, just open headers. http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/d...h_100_2867.jpg |

Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
I'll get some more pics when I get it out. I've got to get a set of wheels to put on it, put a chunk in the 8 3/4" and find a drum for the front drivers side. We should have most of the parts up there on some of the other mopars. Its just getting the time to work on the stuff is whats hard.
|
Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
If you can find another cuda or barracuda for me to bring back to Alabama, let me know.

He has a few other A and B bodies with 8 3/4" rears in them. We just want to get it rolling right now. Thanks though.

Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
I know of about five 1970, and a few 72 and 73 'Cudas and Barracudas in my hometown. Problem is, no one will sell any of them. It took me forever to get one of the guys to sell me some parts of his junk barracuda, and I've known his son for over a decade, lol.

Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
We went to my mother's over the weekend for Easter, and I snapped a few pics while we were there.
This one isn't a musclecar exactly, but I thought it was cool enough for a space on the memory card. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...6/100_0128.jpg Note the Grump Lump. I wonder if whoever built this car saw Two Lane Blacktop? |
Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
I also went and snapped a few at a local junkyard.
69 Camaro, originally Olympic Gold. http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...6/100_0129.jpg Another 69 Camaro, appears to have been Daytona Yellow originally. http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...6/100_0130.jpg And another 69 Camaro. This one is interesting. Original Cortez Silver car, it appears to have been a base, non SS model. http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...6/100_0131.jpg The really interesting part: http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...6/100_0132.jpg Looks like a single 3/8ths fuel line. Hmmmm... |
Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
A couple of 65 Chevelle two door posts.
