We hear you loud and clear on this one. I have been dealing with this for over 20 years and have worked very closely with some of the manufactures. I constantly ask, why when you are paying a designer to sit at a drafting table making the part while using an NOS original part to draw and measure from do you cut corners. It would have cost you NOTHING more to do it right the first time. Most of the things they scimped on were petty at best and there was absolutely no reason NOT to do it right the first time. I am constantly told the same thing you were, "you are the only one who has complained!" https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bs.gif I am not new to manufacturing processes and things like gas tanks, weatherstriping, door handles, carpet, emblems, decals, exhaust hangers, wiring harnesses, inner fenders, etc, etc, would have cost NO more to do them right the first time around. Rick........I agree 100%.......I think part of the priblem is that the people who fund the Repro parts are more Sales and Marketing people and "Just" want maximum return on their investment.........I won't mention any names but a "Big" time player in the Market that "Had it all together" years ago ......is now one of the worst and will never see another Nickel from me...........

Don't get irked at just the reproduction Companies.
GM-Ford-Chrysler today license their name to go onto some parts that are nowhere near what the used to produce in quality & design years ago.Yet buyers see that familiar logo on a parts packaging and immediately assume it's worthy of their car.
I'm seeing more & more 30+ yearold rusted hulks being bought today as a whole,just to acquire it's proper fitting/detailed rusted parts for another restoration.

Well...........We are making progress........Paint Squirted out the Gun.........Sherwin-Williams Base/Clearcoat Gobi Biege........Wet Sand and Buffing on Friday......Back Home Friday Night
