GREAT SHOTS!!! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif
Looking at it all late, and can't get anything past screen 17 to come up. Comments on the light blue '62 409 convertible: Not to be picky......BUT: Incorrect items: hood hinges brake booster air cleaner generator oil fill tube with PCV convertibles didn't get hood insulation missing the column mounted tach wrong pedals And the big one that no one wants to believe.......the 6" wheels. No such thing as a "409" wheel, and not offered in '62. Only standard on wagons. That said, anyone know what it sold for? Verne |

They are actually doing the posting of the auction results almost real time on their website now. Thought that was pretty cool. Go here:

They're doing a great job and every year they get even better, the coverage so far is great, i see now they have BJ swag to buy. I wonder just how much they make. Consider that 8% premium and the premium for booths, admission fee's etc.

Hey, thanks a lot. That's a useful link. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif
I'll keep an eye out for item # 753. Anyone know the item number of the black '62 '09 SS convt? Hey Belair, judging by the face you made, I guess you were equally disappointed in the baby blue one. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...s/rolleyes.gif Verne |

Re: 2005 Barrett-Jackson (Scottsdale, Arizona)
The city of Scottsdale did an indepth study last year. BJ generated approximately $72 Million in economic activity for the City through hotels, fees, etc. They did the study because Craig Jackson is considering moving the auction. There was an article in the paper this week. He said he had to turn away about 400 cars because they did not have enough space to park them all. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...emlins/eek.gif He is also tired of the parking woes for the attendees. They estimate 60,000 will attend the auction this year. That alone is at least $1.8M in gate revenue.
He is looking at Glendale or one of the Indian reservations that is close to Phoenix as alternatives. Should be interesting to see what Scottsdale will do to keep him around. |

Time to move on and let someone else fuss over it.
