Re: Supercar Photographs
#127. This is J. Swezey's Harrell modified Camaro SS that was sold out of E. Black Chevrolet in Albuquerque NM. It has a 427 backed by an M21. I first saw this car at the Chevy Vette Fest in 2003. It was also featured in the January 2007 issue of Chevy Rumble. It won the Chevy Muscle pick at Goodguys Columbus.

#128. This is D. Perry's 69 Camaro COPO that was sold new at Bob McDorman Chevrolet in Canal Winchester OH. This car is documented with a POP. It was featured in Super Chevy in the mid 90's with several other Camaros from the Columbus OH area.

Re: Supercar Photographs
Man, I really dig those last two cars. FWIW, and this is strictly an observation and opinion, I think the COPO cars look better WITHOUT the accent stripe around the wheel openings.

Re: Supercar Photographs
#129. This is ZL-1 #18 and it was sold new at Tamson Chevrolet in Danville VA. This is a 17K mile car and it still has it's original engine. This car was originally restored by Bob Porter in the late '80's and was the grand prize in a raffle by the U.S. Camaro Club in 1993. The car was restored again by D. Tinnell and eventually ended up with C. Comer. This car sold for $800K in 2005 at the Mecum auction in Chicago and has been in the B. Torino collection since then. It doesn't look quite at good as it did in 2005, but it is still a very nice car.

Re: Supercar Photographs
Can you imagine winning that ZL-1 in a raffle?
And Roger, great pics, thanks. That gold '68 trips my trigger. |
Re: Supercar Photographs
#120. This Yenko Camaro is an X66 car that was sold new at Jack Douglass in Hinsdale IL. It is out of the W. Schmeekle collection and will be up for sale at Mecum in Kissimmee. According to the auction listing it has the original engine and rearend and was restored by the Supercar Workshop. As far as I know this is the only known Rally Green X66 Yenko Camaro.
