Not sure on that 70 Camaro on the truck but he had an L78 Nova and a 68 (as I recall) Camaro L78 he bought new and ran in ProStock. Both amazing time capsules. Not sure how many 62 Chevys, a bunch. From unmolested originals to nicely restored.
He was telling us of the issues with putting them on the road in California, having to pay all the past years of registrations to make it current. No big deal on a car that's been sitting five years but for dozens of cars that in many cases haven't been registered since the 60's it is. I think that is the main reason for the move.

Also that is indeed the same truck , friend says...
"Tom and Linda drove one of James Garners L88 Corvettes to Florida from California for the Daytona 24hour race in 1968"

Those James Garner race team Corvettes are spectacular. Wonder where they are today?

Tom is quite alive, doing pretty well. I hope when i'm that age I have the energy to pack up three very large garages worth of cars and parts and make a bunch of trips across the desert!

I didn't see it if he had that 80's Camaro but he has the later 62 Chev ProMod and that first pic, the 62 sedan, is the car he has in the Lions museum. He drove us there to see it. I've heard differing stories on the lapsed CA registrations. One guy says you can get "non=op" regi if it's not being driven. But I think it had to be done back when it was first parked. The back fees were some silly amounts, in the several thousand dollar range for some.
