Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS

Went to visit a friend this past week that has a yard full of Trucks and cars he's collected while towing over the years. I've must have glanced at this Brown Oldsmobile for the past two years figuring it's just a plain jane Delta car. He tells me he and a friend in late 77 purchased two Oldsmobile Pace cars, one they painted brown, and dropped a cam in it. Car has the original 403 -- The only sign left that it was a pace car is the Silver paint on the door jambs and the 403 under the hood.

It is hard to make out but this is a 69 Camaro. West of Avon, NY on route 20. I only have my Cell phone to take a pick.

Here are a couple of neat 65 Impalas. The first one here is in a yard in upstate NY. Framingham car, red/red 396 SS 4 speed. Still has the orig engine in it, and the tranny is supposedly in a pile with several other Muncies that were blown in this car.

http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s...1754Medium.jpg

http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s...1756Medium.jpg

This second car was also really cool. I saw it while out exploring junkyards in Indiana during the National Impala Assoc. convention last July. The yard was crushing out after over 30 years worth of stuff. It's a Flint built black/red plain Impala 409 4 speed. It even had a top dash clock originally https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/cool.gif Unfortunately it was way too far gone to save, plus, somebody swiped the cowl taghttps://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...thumbsdown.gif

It's taken me the better part of a year to get this guy to open his garage door for me, but it was worth the wait.
Burried for over 40 years here is a real '32 Ford 3 window coupe. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...emlins/eek.gif
This car is an original, never been modified car. The inside of the garage looks like a tornado went through there, and there are 4 other cars in his fenced in yard, none worth mentioning. No self-respecting junkyard dog would be caught dead in this place, and from the street you would never know it was there. It's only about 3 blocks from my house.
Please, no PMs. It's not for sale, and even if it was, it would be quite a chore to pull it out of there. I was amazed at the amount of junk and clutter there. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/shocked.gif
Just goes to show that you never know where these things are hiding. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/scholar.gif

Last time I was in San Diego one of the hotel workers was using this as a daily driver. Front pass seat was removed so he could accomodate hauling more junk. Pretty nice car but the owner didn't appreciate what he had:

Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS

Looks like he appreciated it to me. He had a club on it and actually took the seat out rather than stacking stuff on it. Probably was just trying to get by with what he had. Cool Goat!

I was taking a pic of this wagon and the Vette was in the way... I should have gotten a pic of it because when I went back inside this guys shop he told me the vette was a 70 model that was originally a big block 4 speed car. It was toast... The wagon wasn't much better...

Ran across these 2 today - Chevelle had floor shift and an SS hood - plates expired in '95 - the Bird's ran out in '97. There was a fifties pickup in the garage with about 20 years of junk in the back!
