Great story.....I sure wish I could get more history about the car from 1969 to 1977.

Mike, here's an overview of my build.

It's a fully balanced 402+.040 (410ci), M22W trans and 4.56 gears. Stock cast crank, 3/8" truck/thumb rods, custom Ross pistons, 077 aluminum heads, Comp Cams solid roller camshaft (.640/.647 lift-.236/.242 dur.), Edelbrock TM2R intake and a Holley 950hp.

The motor runs on pump gas as the compression is around 10.4. The horsepower is around 450-475. I'd like to pull it this winter, freshen it up, then run it on the dyno again as Gary Soderberg, my engine builder from SRL Motorsports, has a lot more experience on it then 5 years ago.....we could really spend some time on the dyno and dial the motor in better.

I purchased these Ansen Ground Grabber traction bars a few months ago from a member.

I wasn't sure if I was going to use them on but today I decided to at least install them and try them out.

The ride is a little more stiff but that's due to no bushings at either end. I really do like the look.

I will leave them so I have full suspension while on the street and probably will at the strip too as my shocks, air bags and no-hop bars seem to work very well.

What do these bars accomplish? How do they work?

They look cool:-)
