Yes, all ~1800 miles where done with the vintage plates on. I had no choice, really - flew to Austin from SF and the only way back was in the T/A. I've since registered the car in CA but still haven't put on the plates! |

ive always said they are just cars and where meant to be driven..my hat of to you...not sure i would go that far...but good job </div></div> I know, I know. Believe me - driving back through snow wasn't the plan. I woke up one morning in Flagstaff and the white stuff was coming down hard. I cringed, too, driving it out of the underground lot, but there was no other option - I had to get back. It didn't last long but it's certainly an experience to drive a rear-wheel-drive big block on an icy highway! |

Ryan Please TTT for me </div></div> You have to adjust the display settings at the bottom of the Pontiac page to show "From All Dates" and then it dsiplays things that havent had a reply in 6 months. here's the link to Part Deux, the Special Order Paint (Black) 1972 455HO 4 speed: https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/ubbt...eux#Post487291 |
Re: Spray Day
Got it, now on page 40 of the Ontario car!!!
London Ontario had a lot of great cars!!!! Ryan |
Just a reminder:
If you use Google Chrome, there is an add on that fixes the problem and displays the photos. https://www.yenko.net/forum/showthrea...ghlight=Google |
Looks like she is being offered by a dealership in California, close to where she was sold brand new!
https://www.specialtysales.com/vehic...firebird-10430 https://www.hemmings.com/classifieds...d/2088812.html I emailed them with some corrections to their listing and links to threads and articles. We shall see if they take me up on my offer to give them more details on the car. |
Neither link worked for me.
|
Interesting. It worked up until I emailed them. Maybe they’re revising the ad.

Try this. It's from their website on the "buy" page. |
That worked. Man, only 18.6K orig miles? Wow, that's awesome.
|
LOL. Actually 118,000 miles. That was one of the corrections I sent them.
|
LOL, yeah, that'll make a little bit of difference, lol.
|
You would think for 87k they would clean off the valve cover of spilled oil and throw a new trunk seal on. She's showing some slight patina from a nearly decade old resto, still amazing. I should have bought this from the Austin owner, if memory serves he got it along with a Buc red SD. Every time i see it it reminds me of what a correct one should be- both on the components and aesthetics( it's one of the very few that you can actually see the crease on the fenders that's supposed to be there) Sublime!
|
Bump for a great thread! Lot's of tips to look back on when working on your car today!
|
Napa68, this is another build thread I wanted to use as an example for the thread gallery. Thanks!

With 5,000,000 views over all these years (16+). Too bad a lot of my original photos didn't survive the platform changes over the years. Not to mention the photobuket watermark BS.
